- Eyesight: 6/6 distant vision in both eyes (Snellen); each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid eye condition disqualifies a candidate.
- Height: not less than 162 cm, relaxed to 160 cm for Scheduled Tribe and Aboriginal Tribe candidates from the Agency areas of Adilabad, Komarambheem-Asifabad, Mancherial, Nagarkurnool, Khammam, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Mulugu, Mahabubabad and Warangal districts.

Selection process
