  2. Seats still left go to candidates with the residency certificate of the State where the Grid Sub Station is located.
  3. Seats still left are filled through open merit.

If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate gets preference. If the dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier comes first. Reservation follows the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and its amendments.

Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification. BBMB will upload the result of engagement on its website through the office of the System Software Manager, BBMB, Chandigarh. The authority decides the place of deployment, and requests for a specific place are generally not considered.

How to apply

The BBMB apprentice application is online only. The advertisement states that no other mode of application will be accepted.

Step 1: Register on the apprenticeship portal

  1. Keep the Aadhaar card ready, since online registration needs it.
  2. ITI candidates register and apply on the NAPS portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
  3. Degree and diploma candidates face two different instructions. The Hindi press note names the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in, while the English advertisement names only NAPS. These candidates should check both portals before applying.

Should you apply?

The BBMB apprentice drive suits fresh ITI holders in power-sector trades such as Lineman and Electrician. It also suits degree and diploma holders who want a year of workplace training in a canal power house circle. Candidates who prefer a different post can check the latest jobs across India.

Trades with a single seat, such as Welder, Painter and Mechanic Motor Vehicle, leave little room, since only one candidate fills each. Apprenticeship is training under the Apprenticeship Act 1961, and it is not regular employment. The advertisement says nothing about a job after training. Candidates who need a regular salaried post should also look at current government jobs. Candidates also cannot choose where they are placed within Canal Power House Circle.

This is added context, not part of the official notice. Confirm with the official website.
