Deputy Manager (Mechanical) — For CMSRU & CKSRU
Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
Experience: Minimum 7 years post-qualification managerial experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, engineering companies, offshore fabrication, marine-related engineering companies, or government/semi-government companies/establishments — in mechanical & machinery system, fabrication, construction, outfitting, installation, commissioning or procurement.
Desirable: Experience in an ERP/SAP/computerised environment; good communication skills and working knowledge of Hindi/Marathi.
Deputy Manager (HR & Administration) — For CMSRU
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Business Administration with HR specialisation (min 60% marks), OR PG Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/Management — two years, min 60%, OR PG Degree with specialisation in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, min 60%, OR PG Degree in Personnel Management/Human Resource Management, min 60%.
Desirable: Additional LLB degree with Labour Laws as an elective subject; knowledge of Labour and Estate rules applicable to Maharashtra; proficiency in ERP/SAP, timekeeping software, MS Office.
Experience: Minimum 7 years post-qualification managerial experience in HR/Administration in a Public Sector Undertaking, engineering company/commercial organisation, or government/semi-government company/establishment.
Deputy Manager (Safety) — For CMSRU
Qualification: A recognized Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology, OR a recognized Degree in Physics or Chemistry, OR a recognized Diploma in any branch of Engineering or Technology — plus a Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by a State Government (not mandatory for degree holders in Safety Engineering or Technology).
Experience:
- For Degree holders in Engineering/Technology: minimum 7 years post-qualification experience (2 years practical experience in a factory in a supervisory capacity, and 5 years’ experience in Industrial Safety in a shipyard, factory, or government/semi-government company/establishment).
- For Degree holders in Physics/Chemistry, or Diploma holders in Engineering/Technology: minimum 10 years post-qualification experience (5 years practical supervisory factory experience, and 5 years’ experience in Industrial Safety).
Job note: The work involves frequent inspection of deep tanks and restricted spaces on ships, which calls for a high degree of physical fitness.
Age limit (all posts)
Upper age limit: must not exceed 35 years as on 10 August 2026, i.e., applicants should be born on or after 11 August 1991.
Relaxation: 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates, only for the posts reserved for that category. For Deputy Manager (HR & Administration), age relaxation for PwBD candidates is as per Government of India guidelines. For Ex-servicemen, relaxation is as per Government of India guidelines, up to 45 years.

Selection process
Selection is a three-stage process built mainly around documented work experience, held at CSL Kochi/CMSRU Mumbai or through interview via electronic media.
- Power Point Presentation — Candidates who are provisionally shortlisted must present their work experience in a presentation of not more than 10 minutes. The selection committee assesses this along with the documents submitted.
- Group Discussion and Personal Interview — Only candidates who meet the notified work experience and job requirements after the presentation stage are permitted to attend.
- Marks distribution (out of 100): Work Experience — 40, Power Point Presentation — 30, Group Discussion — 10, Personal Interview — 20.
Candidates attending the Personal Interview in person are reimbursed single-to-and-fro third AC rail fare by the shortest route from their mailing address to CSL Kochi or CMSRU Mumbai, on submission of proof and bank passbook details at certificate verification. This travel reimbursement clause does not apply where selection is conducted through electronic media.

Application fee is ₹1,000/- (non-refundable, plus bank charges extra), payable online via Debit Card, Credit Card or Internet Banking, between 24 July 2026 and 10 August 2026. No other mode of payment is accepted.
- SC/ST candidates need not pay the application fee.
- For the post of Deputy Manager (HR & Administration), PwBD candidates are exempted from the application fee.
