How to calculate the raw score
The question booklet instructions give the marking scheme for this exam. The paper has 120 questions for 480 Marks. Each correct answer gets 4 marks. Each wrong answer loses 1 mark. An unattempted question scores zero. Marking more than one answer for a question counts as wrong, even if one of the marked answers is correct.

How to raise an objection
Objections against the PPSC Research Officer Answer Key open online only, through the link on the notice page for Advt. No. 20262. PPSC does not accept objections by email or post.
- Log in with the registration number and password used to download the admit card, plus the captcha code shown.
- Select the paper and enter the question number as printed in Question Paper Set A, even if the candidate attempted Set B, C or D.
- Select the correct answer from A, B, C or D, or choose “Others” and state the combination, or write “None” if none of the four options is correct.
- Enter the reason in the remarks box, in up to 200 characters.
- Upload proof in JPG or JPEG format from two authentic sources, up to three images of 200 KB each.
- Click Submit for that question. A “Submitted successfully” message confirms it before the next objection.
- Repeat for every question. Use “View details” and “Summary with images” to check what has been submitted.
- Log out after all objections are submitted.
An objection without proof from two authentic sources will not be entertained. Candidates must type out the relevant extract from the source, not just name the book or website. Once submitted, an objection cannot be edited or deleted.
The window opens at 00:01 hours on 28 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 hours on 1 October 2026. The link disappears from the website once this window ends. Every rule for the PPSC Research Officer Answer Key objection process comes from the official notice, so it must be followed exactly.

What happens after the objection window
PPSC will refer objections to a body of subject experts. For General Knowledge and Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, and Punjabi questions, which PPSC sets itself, the expert panel is used only if the Commission does not agree with an objection.
Based on the experts’ opinion, PPSC may change the marked answer, accept more than one correct answer, or withdraw the question. If a question is withdrawn, every candidate gets 4 marks for it, whether they attempted it or not.
PPSC will publish a revised PPSC Research Officer Answer Key after processing every objection. Candidates do not get a separate reply. Comparing the original key with the revised one is how a candidate finds out whether an objection was accepted. Candidates can track the PPSC Research Officer result on the site once it is announced.
