Eligibility criteria
A relaxation of 5% in marks is allowed at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD candidates. All educational qualifications must be from recognized Universities/Institutes.
Professor
- Academic Track: Ph.D. with a minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience, 6 research publications, and a total research score of 120.
- Artist Track: Traditional/professional artist with a Master’s degree, ‘A’-grade AIR/Doordarshan artist status, and 10 years of outstanding performing achievements.
- Desirable: Specialization in Sculpture.
Associate Professor
- Academic Track: Ph.D. degree, Master’s with at least 55% marks, 8 years of teaching/research experience, 7 publications, and a research score of 75.
- Artist Track (for Music/Arts): Doctoral degree with performing ability of high standard and 8 years experience, OR a highly-commendable professional artist with Master’s degree, ‘A’-grade artist status, and 8 years experience.
- Desirable: For Botany: M.Sc. in Botany. For Painting: Active professional art practice and knowledge of art theory.
Assistant Professor
- Academic Track: Master’s degree with 55% marks plus NET/SLET/SET clearance. Candidates with a Ph.D. awarded per UGC regulations 2009/2016 are exempted from NET. Ph.D. from top 500 foreign universities is also valid.
- Artist Track (for Music/Arts): Traditional/professional artist with Bachelor’s degree who studied under a reputed Master, has ‘A’ grade status, and adequate teaching ability.
- Desirable: For Physics: M.Sc. with Electronics specialization or 3 years research in Electronics. For Agri. Ext.: B.Sc. (Ag) Hons, M.Sc. (Ag), and Ph.D. in relevant fields. For Odia: Specialization in Modern Odia Literature and peer-reviewed publications. For Textile: Knowledge of textile fibres, fabric structures, Jacquard, and Textile CAD. For Graphic Art: Specialization in Printmaking/Graphic Art.
Selection process
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on Academic/Research scores as per UGC Regulations 2018 (Appendix II: Table 2 & 3A). The ratio for calling candidates may be restricted to 1:15.
- Interview: Final selection is based solely on interview performance. Candidates abroad may attend via Skype or audiovisual links if permitted.
- Document and Police Verification: Verification of testimonials and a satisfactory police verification report are mandatory before or after joining.
