How to Check Your Exam City and Exam Date
- Open the CASB portal for your entry — Agniveervayu or Airmen (Medical Assistant) — or go straight to the candidate login page above.
- Click Candidate Login.
- Enter your User ID (your registered e-mail ID) and the password sent to you at registration.
- Once inside, open the notification or link for Exam City / Exam Date Intimation.
- Check the details on screen, then download and save a PDF copy.

What the intimation slip tells you
- Your name and registration/application sequence number
- The city allotted for your Phase-I online test
- Your exam date (22 or 23 September 2026)
- Shift or reporting guidance, where applicable
What it does not tell you
- The exact venue address of the test centre
- The reporting time and gate-closing time
- The barcode/roll-number block used at the centre
All three of those appear only on the actual admit card. So use the slip for one purpose: booking travel and accommodation early.
Admit Card: Exact Wording From the Notification
The official advertisement is specific on this point. Paraphrasing the relevant clause: eligible candidates are sent Phase-I admit cards on their registered e-mail IDs between 48 and 72 hours prior to the examination, and the same provisional admit card can also be downloaded under candidate login on the CASB web portal. Candidates must take a colour printout and carry it to the centre. The notification separately confirms that the name of city and exam date are intimated at an earlier date so candidates can plan their movement — which is exactly what has happened today.

If your login shows two separate intimation slips, that is normal — you applied under both entries and will sit two different papers.
Exam Pattern and Marking (Phase-I Online Test)
- Objective type, bilingual (English and Hindi) except the English paper.
- +1 for every correct answer.
- 0 for an unattempted question.
- −0.25 for every wrong answer.
- You must qualify in each paper individually, not just on total score.

Normalisation — why your final mark may not match your raw score
Because the paper runs across multiple sessions, marks in Phase-I are normalised using a formula published on the CASB portal, to adjust for differences in difficulty between sessions. Two things follow from this, and both are stated in the advertisement:
- Cut-offs for Phase-II shortlisting and the final merit list are applied to normalised marks, not raw marks.
- In exceptional cases a normalised subject score can come out higher or lower than your actual score, and can even exceed the subject total.
For Agniveervayu, shortlisting for Phase-II is done state-wise, so the cut-off varies from state to state depending on the vacancies allotted to each state/UT.
What to Carry on Exam Day
Mandatory:
- Colour printout of the provisional admit card
- Original Aadhaar card (candidates from J&K, Ladakh, Assam and Meghalaya without Aadhaar may carry another valid photo ID)
- One blue or black pen
Strictly prohibited in the testing area:
- Mobile phones, smart watches and any electronic device. The notification is blunt about the consequence: candidates found in possession shall be debarred permanently.
Two rules that quietly disqualify people every cycle:
- Do not write anything on your admit card. No rough work, no notes, nothing — anywhere on it. The advertisement states such candidates will be debarred permanently.
- Do not change your appearance from the photograph you uploaded. Growing a beard or adding head gear can lead to cancellation of candidature at the online exam or at Phase-II. (Sikh candidates whose religion prohibits cutting of hair are covered by a separate provision, provided the registration photograph already shows beard and moustache.)
Also keep your original Phase-I admit card after the exam — it must bear the Air Force seal and invigilator’s signature, and you are required to produce it again at Phase-II.

What Happens After 22–23 September
- Objection management. The question paper with answer key and your individual response sheet are made available in your candidate login for three days after the exam. This is the only window to raise objections. After it closes, no queries are entertained — and the notification specifically notes that no RTI will be entertained for information already published in your login.
- Phase-I result. Uploaded to your individual login ID on the CASB portal.
- Phase-II admit card. Shortlisted candidates receive a fresh admit card by e-mail for testing at a designated Airmen Selection Centre (ASC).
- Phase-II testing. Document verification, Physical Fitness Test (PFT-I and PFT-II), Adaptability Test-I and Adaptability Test-II.
- Phase-III. Medical examination by an Air Force medical team, including blood haemogram, urine RE/ME, biochemistry panel, chest radiography and ECG. Candidates declared unfit may apply for an Appeal Medical Board by depositing ₹40 via e-MRO/MRO within three working days.
- Provisional Select List in the last week of May 2027, valid for six months. Inclusion in the PSL does not guarantee enrollment.

For Medical Assistant candidates above 21 years holding a Diploma/B.Pharma/B.Sc Pharmacy, the 1.6 km run limit is 7 minutes 30 seconds.
If you are shortlisted, Phase-II will land within weeks of the result. Starting run training now rather than after the result is the single highest-return thing you can do with the next month.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the exam city slip the same as the admit card?
No. The slip tells you which city and which date. The admit card carries the venue address, reporting time and the details the invigilator checks. You cannot sit the exam on the slip alone.
I haven’t received any e-mail about the exam city. Should I worry?
Check your spam and promotions folders first, then log in to the portal directly. The portal is the authoritative source; e-mail is a convenience.
Can I request a different exam city?
No. Requests for change of examination centre or date are not entertained, and CASB may allot a city outside your five preferences.
When exactly will the admit card come out?
The notification commits to 48–72 hours before the exam, which places it roughly between 19 and 21 September 2026. No date beyond that has been officially announced — treat any specific date circulating elsewhere as an estimate, not a fact.
I applied for both Science and Other than Science papers. How long is my test?
85 minutes in one sitting, covering Physics, Mathematics, English and Reasoning & General Awareness.
Do I need my Aadhaar card?
