About the organisation

Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra was established by the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 25 of 2017. It is a dedicated state university for AYUSH — Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy — education, based on Umri Road, Sector-8, Kurukshetra. The University runs its own non-teaching recruitment separately from Haryana’s general recruitment boards, covering para-medical posts such as Staff Nurse and Ayurvedic Pharmacist alongside administrative posts such as Clerk. For a candidate, a regular post here means direct, permanent employment inside Haryana’s AYUSH higher-education system, not a contract or ad-hoc role.

How this recruitment compares

This recruitment follows the pattern common to state university non-teaching drives across India: a written-test stage, followed by document verification, with a fixed campus posting rather than transferable postings across several offices. Compared with central-government clerical or para-medical vacancies, a state-university post such as this one usually means a single, known work location and a reservation structure tied to Haryana domicile, rather than an all-India posting lottery. Candidates weighing this against other current Staff Nurse, Pharmacist or Clerk notifications should compare pay scale, exam pattern and reservation eligibility post by post rather than by organisation name alone. This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.

Should you apply?

This recruitment suits two different groups of candidates. Registered A-grade Nurses and Ayurvedic Pharmacy diploma/Up-Vaidya holders looking for a permanent, regular para-medical post get a direct route in with only 31 combined posts (Staff Nurse and Ayurvedic Pharmacist) on offer, so competition per seat is likely to be tight for a specialised, licensed pool. Graduates aiming for a Clerk post face a much larger opening — 29 posts — but the entry pool for a plain graduate-level clerical exam nationally is usually large, and the added typing and computer-skill qualifying tests filter out some of that field before the written test even counts. This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.

The honest trade-off: all 60 posts are tied to one campus in Kurukshetra, so there is no choice of posting location, but the role is regular/permanent rather than contractual. The Clerk pay scale (FPL-2) is markedly lower than Staff Nurse or Ayurvedic Pharmacist (FPL-6), so candidates eligible for more than one post should weigh pay against how competitive each is likely to be. Reservation benefits apply only to Haryana-domicile candidates; candidates from other states can compete solely in the General/Unreserved category.

What is the salary of Staff Nurse and Ayurvedic Pharmacist in SKAU Kurukshetra?

Is there a typing test for the Clerk post in SKAU recruitment?

Yes. Clerk candidates must first clear a 10-minute typing test on computer with a minimum speed of 30 NWPM before they are allowed to sit the written test; typing speed above 30 NWPM earns extra marks up to a 15-mark cap. This structure is typical of Haryana university clerical recruitment, where the typing test comes before the general-knowledge based written stage. This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.
