Age Limit
The age limit is 21 to 42 years. The cut-off date for age calculation is 1 July 2026. A candidate’s age must be at least 21 years and not more than 42 years as on this date — that is, born between 2 July 1984 and 1 July 2005.
Age relaxation (upper limit):

Negative marking: ¼ mark is deducted for each wrong answer. Facilities for Divyangjan (PwD) Candidates
The notification sets out a detailed scribe policy. A scribe is available for candidates with blindness, both-arms-affected locomotor disability, or cerebral palsy, and for other candidates who submit a certificate from a government hospital stating they cannot write due to their condition. Approved candidates get 20 minutes of compensatory time per hour of exam (minimum 5 minutes, in multiples of 5), and are guaranteed ground-floor seating. The talking-calculator provision in the PwD guidelines does not apply to this particular exam, since calculators are banned for every candidate here. A candidate who wants a scribe — whether self-arranged or Commission-provided — must submit the prescribed disability certificate and scribe details to the Commission’s office at least 10 days before the exam date.
Admission to the examination, and to every later stage, is provisional. An admit card being issued does not mean the candidature is finally confirmed — UKPSC can reject a candidature at any stage, including after the result, if a candidate is later found ineligible.
