• Four-year integrated degree course of the Regional College of Education, NCERT, in the concerned subject, minimum 50% marks in aggregate; or
• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks in the concerned subject and in aggregate, with Mathematics as one of the subjects in all three years of graduation (or the four-year integrated degree), plus a B.Ed. degree.
• And, in both cases: pass in CTET or STET (Level-2/as applicable for a TGT), and proficiency in teaching in English medium.

Desirable: PG degree in Mathematics; experience teaching in an English-medium residential public school; proficiency in games and co-curricular activities; knowledge of computer applications.

TGT (English) — Regular

Age: Between 21 and 35 years as on 30 September 2026. Essential Qualification (any one of):

• Four-year integrated BA B.Ed course of the Regional College of Education, NCERT, in English Literature, minimum 50% marks in aggregate; or
• Graduation in Arts (minimum 50% marks in aggregate) with English Literature as the main subject, plus a B.Ed. degree (or the four-year integrated equivalent); or
• Honours graduation in English Literature as the main subject across all three years (minimum 50% marks), plus a B.Ed. degree (or four-year integrated equivalent); or
• Post Graduation in English (minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade) with a three-year integrated B.Ed–M.Ed.
• And, in every case: pass in CTET or STET (Level-2/as applicable for a TGT), and proficiency in teaching in English medium.

• Graduation in Arts (minimum 50% marks in aggregate) with two subjects out of Geography / Political Science / Economics / Sociology / History, plus a B.Ed. degree (or four-year integrated equivalent); or
• Honours graduation with one of Geography / Political Science / Economics / Sociology / History as the main subject across all three years (minimum 50% marks), plus a B.Ed. degree (or four-year integrated equivalent); or
• Post Graduation in any one of the above subjects (minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade) with a three-year integrated B.Ed–M.Ed.
• And, in every case: pass in CTET or STET (Level-2/as applicable for a TGT), and proficiency in teaching in English medium.

Desirable: PG degree in Geography, or Honours graduation in Geography; experience teaching in a residential public school; proficiency in games and co-curricular activities; knowledge of computer applications.

Counsellor — Contractual

Age: Between 18 and 50 years as on 30 September 2026. Essential Qualification (any one of): Graduate/Post Graduate in Psychology; or Post Graduate in Child Development; or Graduate/Post Graduate with a Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling. PEM/PTI cum Matron (Female only) — Contractual

• And, in every route: a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) of at least one year (or equivalent) from an NCTE-recognised institution.

Desirable: BPEd/MPEd from an NCTE-recognised institution; mature, unencumbered women candidates with experience handling children with affection preferred; preference for those with a Home Science degree/diploma plus a dietician’s course and basic first-aid knowledge; experience in a residential school.

Art Master — Contractual

Essential Qualification (any one of): Higher Secondary/Intermediate/Senior Secondary with a minimum 4-year full-time diploma in painting/fine arts from a recognised institute; or Graduate with Drawing and Painting/Art/Fine Art, minimum 2-year full-time diploma from a recognised institute; or MA in Drawing and Painting/Fine Art from a recognised university. Desirable: minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in the subject; attainments in sports/arts/music and experience handling children with affection; experience teaching in a residential public school; good communication skills in English and Hindi.

Lab Assistant (Physics) / Lab Assistant (Chemistry) / Lab Assistant (Biology) — Contractual

Essential Qualification: Pass in Class 12/Intermediate with Science stream, with the concerned subject as one of the main subjects. Desirable: working experience in a residential English-medium school with good communication skills in English and proficiency in games/sports/extracurricular activities.

Music Teacher / Band Master — Contractual

Essential Qualification (any one of): Higher Secondary with a degree or diploma in music from a recognised institution; or working knowledge of English and Hindi/another regional language plus a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from a recognised university; or Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with one of the Sangeet Visharad-type examinations named in the notice (Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal Bombay, Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyalaypeeth Lucknow, Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwa Vidyalaya Khairagarh, or Sangeet Prabhakar of Prayag Sangeet Samiti Allahabad); or one of the Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh diplomas/degrees named in the notice (Sangeet Bhaskar, Sangeet Nritya Bhushan, or Sangeet Bhushan/Sangeet Nritya Visharad) combined with the stated graduation level. Desirable: experience teaching in a residential public school; the Potential Band Master/Band Major/Drum Major course at the AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi; equivalent Naval/Air Force courses.

UDC — Contractual

Essential Qualification: Graduate with at least 2 years’ office experience in a government or commercial organisation, and the ability to correspond in English. Desirable: typing speed of minimum 40 WPM in English and 35 WPM in Hindi; computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to correspond and draft letters in English and Hindi; office filing experience. Knowledge of shorthand and typewriting counts as an additional qualification.

LDC — Contractual

Essential Qualification: Matriculation pass from a recognised board, typing speed of minimum 40 words in English, computer skills in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and the ability to draft letters in both Hindi and English. Desirable: candidates with a higher qualification will be preferred.

Driver — Contractual

Essential Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognised board, and a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence from the Regional/District Transport Officer, with knowledge of traffic signs. Desirable: ability to identify vehicle parts, change wheels/stepney, install or change a vehicle battery, carry out daily inspection of the vehicle, and perform roadside repairs.

Electrician cum Pump Operator — Contractual

Essential Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognised board, an ITI certificate in Electrician/Wireman trade, and at least 2 years’ experience in electrical installation, wiring or plumbing.

Nursing Sister — Contractual

Essential Qualification: a Nursing Diploma/Degree from a recognised university, plus 5 years’ experience, or status as an Ex-serviceman of the Medical Assistant trade with at least 5 years’ service after training. Desirable: knowledge of medical terminology, patient care, medical administration and record-keeping, ambulance/equipment maintenance and dispensary management; good communication and liaison skills; ability to converse in Hindi and English.

Selection process

Only shortlisted candidates who meet the essential qualifications for their post are called for the next stage. Candidates who do not bring their original documents on the day of the exam are disqualified on the spot, with no representation entertained afterwards.

1. Screening of applications against the essential qualifications for the post applied for.
2. Written Exam for shortlisted candidates (pattern below).
3. Skill test, class demonstration and/or interview, as applicable to the post, only for candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks fixed by the recruitment board on the day of the exam.
4. Physical verification of original documents and testimonials on the day of the written exam.

No TA/DA is admissible to any candidate at any stage.

This recruitment suits candidates who already hold the exact essential qualification listed for a specific post — for instance, a B.Ed. graduate with a science PG for the PGT posts, or a CTET/STET-qualified graduate for the TGT posts — since these requirements are compulsory, not desirable. It also suits candidates open to a residential-campus job under the Ministry of Defence, where staff are not classed as Central or State Government employees even though the school is defence-run.

It is not a good fit for candidates missing a compulsory requirement, such as CTET/STET for the TGT posts, since the notice does not allow relaxation on essential qualifications. Realistically, competition is likely to be high given only one vacancy is available in each post and category. The honest trade-off to weigh is between the regular posts (PGT, TGT), which carry Pay Level 7/8, pension benefits, All India transferability and schooling concessions, and the contractual posts, which pay a fixed consolidated amount with no allowances, run for a maximum of 11 months at a time (extendable up to 3 years), and carry no automatic right to a regular appointment.
