Vacancy Details

1. Teaching Associate (TA): 05 Posts

Educational Qualification

• PhD in any discipline of Veterinary Science & A.H. OR
• M.V.Sc. in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point average, along with:
  • three years of experience, and
  • one research paper published in an SCI or NAAS-rated (≥ 4.0) journal.

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF): 01 Post

Educational Qualification

• M.V.Sc. in any discipline of Veterinary Science & A.H.

Important Terms and Conditions

• The appointment is purely on a contractual basis. It does not provide any employment after the research scheme ends.
• The services of the Teaching Associate and Senior Research Fellow can be terminated by the University at any time without notice.
• No TA/DA or other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
• If many candidates appear, a written test will be held to shortlist candidates appropriately.

Bio-data Form: What You Need to Fill In

The notice includes a prescribed bio-data form. Candidates should prepare the following details beforehand.

1. Full name
2. Mailing address, mobile number and e-mail
3. Date of birth and age (in years)
4. Sex
5. Educational qualification: for Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD, give the name of the university, passing year and OGPA/percentage
6. Medals/awards
   • Chancellor / Vice Chancellor / National level medal
   • Merit medal/cash prize/medal for scientific contribution
7. Experience: Government, semi-government, national or private institute
8. Publications
   • Research articles
   • Farmer-related articles in magazine, booklet or folder
9. Seminars/workshops/symposia/training
   • Oral or poster paper presentation or participation
   • Short- or long-term training, personnel development training
   • NSS / NCC / trekking camp or similar trainings
10. Other activities (games, cultural programmes, debates, etc.)
    • State-level participation

11. Knowledge of Gujarati language (SSC/HSC passed with Gujarati subject)

The form must carry the date and the candidate’s signature.

Tips for Candidates

• Check your age against the cut-off. The limits differ for each post and between male and female candidates. The notice does not mention any age relaxation, so confirm with the university if you think you qualify for one.
• Check the 60% criterion (or equivalent grade point average) if you apply for Teaching Associate with an M.V.Sc.
• Keep the SCI/NAAS publication proof ready. The journal’s NAAS rating should be 4.0 or above.
• Prepare for a written test. It may be held if a large number of candidates turn up.
• Arrive early. The interview starts at 10:00 AM sharp, and the University will not reimburse travel costs.
• Carry spare self-attested photocopies of every document.
