Selection process
The MPPGCL ITI apprentice selection runs on marks alone. The merit list uses the percentage of CGPA marks, the semester average, scored in ITI.
- MPPGCL scrutinises all applications received against the notice.
- It prepares a trade-wise merit list on ITI CGPA marks for eligible candidates.
- It selects in merit order and gives the older candidate priority on equal marks. It uses the waiting list if seats remain.
- Selected candidates get an offer letter on their apprenticeship portal profile.
- Candidates must join within the stipulated period, or MPPGCL cancels the selection.
A candidate can apply in only one trade. MPPGCL can reject an application that names more than one trade. Selected candidates must also submit a medical fitness certificate at joining. An authorised doctor of a government primary health centre, community health centre or district hospital must issue it.

Should you apply?
The MPPGCL ITI apprentice seats suit recent ITI holders from Madhya Pradesh. They get a year of training inside a thermal power station. The five priority districts have an edge in the notice.
The stipend of ₹9,600 a month is for training only, and the notice promises no job at the end. Candidates who need regular pay should look at regular recruitment instead.
Candidates from other states, including West Bengal and Sikkim, cannot apply. Competition is likely to be tight in smaller trades, for example, COPA with 2 seats. Trainees also arrange their own housing.
