After the training period
The notice calls for selection training only. A Spices Board trainee has no link to a regular appointment, and the Board cannot regularise the training at any stage.
Candidates who want other training posts can see more internship and trainee notices.
Should you apply?
This training suits SC and ST graduates in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and life sciences who want structured work at a central government board. It does not suit candidates who need a regular salaried job, because the notice rules out regularisation. Those candidates can browse the latest all-India jobs.
Posting is the main trade-off. Each of the 21 posts sits at a separate unit office, and some are nurseries and field offices away from large towns. Competition for a single post at each office is likely to be tight.
Candidates from the Darjeeling hills, Kalimpong and Sikkim will find the Gangtok region test at the Gangtok centre. A Spices Board trainee there works under the Gangtok region.
