- The apprenticeship is contractual, for 11 months.
- An apprentice is a trainee, not a worker or an employee of the company. Labour law provisions for employees do not apply.
- Apprentices get one day of leave each month, credited at the start of the next month. Unused leave carries forward. No stipend is deducted for entitled leave.
- No other kind of leave is allowed. Any other absence leads to a pro-rata deduction from the stipend, and there is no overtime allowance.
- Apprentices do not get Provident Fund, Staff Mediclaim or other employee benefits.
- The notice period is 1 month.
- On completion, apprentices get an Apprenticeship Certificate, subject to satisfactory performance.

After the training period
The company states plainly that an apprentice is not eligible for absorption or further employment because of this apprenticeship. Completing the training gives no preference or weightage in any later recruitment by the company.
Should you apply?
This apprenticeship suits actuarial science students who have cleared at least four IAI or IFoA papers. It gives structured experience at a public sector insurer. It also suits candidates who already work with R, Python or SQL, since the notice lists this as a desirable skill. It does not suit candidates looking for permanent employment. The company states clearly that the apprenticeship carries no right to absorption or preference in future hiring. The trade-off is between the stipend and the experience on one side. On the other side is a fixed 11-month term with no employee benefits. This is added context, not part of the official notice. Confirm with the official website.
