Courses, seats and monthly stipend

MPPGCL has 559 seats for one-year OJT training across eight courses. These seats are at MPPGCL’s head office and regional office in Jabalpur, and at its power houses in Sarni, Birsinghpur, Chachai, Khandwa, Jabalpur, Mandsaur, Nagpur, Sirmaur, Umaria, Ashoknagar, Shahdol, Rewa, Satna and Shivpuri. Who cannot apply

Candidates who have already received training or benefit under the Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana earlier cannot apply again. If a candidate is found to have hidden this, or given wrong information about eligibility, their candidature can be cancelled, or their training can be ended, at any stage.

Selection process

Selection is on merit, not through a written exam. MPPGCL Jabalpur will prepare a course-wise list from the applications received till 15 October 2026. Merit is decided by the percentage of marks in the qualifying course. Preference goes first to candidates from the OJT district, then by merit. If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate is preferred. A waiting list is used if more candidates are needed.

Selected candidates get an online contract offer on the MMSKY portal. Candidates must accept or reject the offer within the time given, or the offer is cancelled automatically. MPPGCL Jabalpur does not publish a separate selected-candidates list. Candidates must check the MMSKY portal regularly for updates.

A selected candidate can be posted for training anywhere within the OJT district. Final selection also depends on medical fitness. Selected candidates must submit a fitness certificate after selection. Candidates who do not join within the given time have their selection cancelled automatically.

Step 1: Register on the MMSKY portal

1. Candidates must register on the Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana portal at mmsky.mp.gov.in/Web/Candidate/Registration.
2. A Samagra ID is mandatory for registration.
3. The mobile number and email linked to the Samagra ID must be active.
4. Candidates must complete Aadhaar e-KYC on the Samagra portal at samagra.gov.in. The status usually updates within 24 hours.
5. After registering, candidates must log in with the User ID and password received, and complete their profile.
6. Candidates must enter details of their minimum qualifying education (12th, ITI, Diploma or Graduate). They should keep a scanned copy of the marksheet ready, as a PDF file of up to 500 KB.
7. The bank account used must be Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled, because the stipend is paid only into this account.

Step 2: Apply against the posted seats

1. After registering, candidates can apply against the seats posted on the portal.
2. Only online applications are accepted.
3. Applications are accepted from 1 April 2026 to 15 October 2026, till 11:59 PM. No application is accepted after this.
4. Candidates who face difficulty during registration can contact their district-level ITI.
