The Deputy Vice President and Assistant Vice President (IT Risk) posts will sit within the Bank’s technology risk management function at the Corporate Centre.

Local context
This is a contractual, senior-level opening. It suits experienced IT risk or cybersecurity professionals moving from a permanent bank or corporate role into a fixed-term specialist assignment, rather than a fresher starting a government career. Selection process
Selection has three stages: shortlisting, an interview, and CTC negotiation. Meeting the minimum eligibility does not by itself entitle a candidate to an interview call.
- Shortlisting — the Bank’s shortlisting committee decides the parameters and calls an adequate number of candidates. This decision is final, and the Bank does not entertain correspondence on it.
- Interview — carries 100 marks. The Bank decides the qualifying marks.
- CTC negotiation — held in merit order, one candidate at a time. If a candidate does not accept the negotiated CTC, the Bank treats this as a voluntary exit and moves to the next candidate in merit.
- Merit list — prepared only on interview marks, in descending order. If candidates tie at the cut-off, the older candidate is ranked higher.
- Final selection — the top candidates in merit, with whom CTC negotiation succeeds, are selected.
Outstation candidates called for interview are reimbursed travel fare for the shortest route in India, or the actual travel cost, whichever is lower. Local conveyance such as taxi or personal vehicle fares is not payable.

Should you apply?
This suits an experienced IT risk, information security or cybersecurity professional who already holds a senior role and wants a fixed-term, well-paid assignment inside a large public sector bank. It does not suit freshers, or candidates looking for a permanent government job, since both posts are contractual for 3 years, extendable up to 2 more years after a yearly review. The Annual CTC, up to ₹60,00,000 for the Deputy Vice President post and up to ₹50,00,000 for the Assistant Vice President post, is negotiable and depends on current pay and experience. The honest trade-off is stability. Either side can end the contract with three months’ notice, and shortlisting does not guarantee an interview call or a final offer, since document verification happens later, at the interview stage.
