Local context and how it compares

The notification lists Karwar, Minicoy, Pipavav and Bhubaneswar as the places where vacancies exist. It does not say how many of the 4 posts sit at each place. Postings can also change with service requirements.

Karwar is a coastal town in Karnataka. Pipavav is a port location in Gujarat. Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha and the best connected of the four by rail and air. Minicoy is an island in Lakshadweep, so a posting there means island life. This is a single-post recruitment with its own written exam, unlike the large multi-post central exams. This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.

💡 Tips for Sending Application through India Post Service

Send your application by Speed Post with Acknowledgement Card (AD Card) [Posting Charge Starts from Rs. 47/- depending on weight]— you’ll get delivery confirmation right at your doorstep. India Post no longer offers standalone Registered Post (Domestic) as of September 2025, so Speed Post is the safest option now.

Use a thick green envelope to protect your documents from damage in transit. Write your contact number clearly on the back of the envelope.

Arrange your documents in this order before sealing: application form first, then educational certificates, then experience documents. Punch a small hole on the top-left corner of the entire set and tie it neatly with a thread.

Only enclose what is asked for. Extra documents increase postage costs and make it harder for the employer to sort through your application. [This is General tips follow information as advised in official notification]

Applications that will be rejected

  • Envelope without the notation and category
  • Incomplete application
  • Applicant overaged on the last day of receipt of application
  • Overwriting, cutting, corrections or incorrect information against the enclosures
  • Photographs not affixed
  • Self-attested photocopies of the listed documents not enclosed
  • Self-addressed envelope with a ₹50 postal stamp not enclosed

False or wrong information leads to disqualification and possible legal action. The notification says candidature can be rejected at any stage, even after joining, if the information does not match the eligibility criteria.

Should you apply?

This job suits candidates who already work in stores, stock or materials handling and keep store accounts. The experience rule keeps freshers out. A master’s degree needs one year of experience. A bachelor’s degree or diploma required two.

Only 4 posts are open, split across UR, ST and EWS. The notification gives no past applicant figures. With so few posts, each one is likely to be contested.

The trade-offs are practical. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India, and Minicoy is one of the listed places. The application is offline, so a missing photograph, envelope or notation means summary rejection with no chance to correct it. The notification does not describe promotion or career growth.

This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.
