Should You Apply?
DRDO CASDIC Internship 2026 suits final-year engineering students and second-year M.Sc students who want hands-on defence-sector project experience, particularly in electronic warfare systems. The CGPA and marks bar is fixed and not negotiable, so students below the cut-off should not apply. The stipend is modest at ₹5,000 a month, and boarding and lodging costs are not covered, which matters for students who would need to relocate to Bengaluru for 6 months. There is no guarantee of a job at DRDO afterwards. For a student who values project experience with a defence research centre over a strong stipend, this is a reasonable option. For a student weighing this against a paid private-sector internship, the pay difference is worth considering before applying.
