Own Scribe registration and Entry Pass

Candidates using the Own Scribe facility may need fresh registration. Any scribe registered before 5 November 2025 had that registration cancelled. Such scribes must register again on the SSC website.

Scribe registration is now linked to Aadhaar authentication. This is mandatory for every scribe, whether newly registering or re-registering.

Candidates opting for Own Scribe must submit their scribe’s registration number. This step generates the Scribe’s Entry Pass. Without it, the Commission does not issue the Entry Pass.

The maximum age allowed for an Own Scribe follows the Commission’s updated policy (Policy No. PP001/14/2024-PP, e-10280, dated 4 November 2025). The exact age limit is not mentioned in this notice. All other Own Scribe rules stay the same as given in the exam’s original notice.

The last date to map Scribe OTR for Tier-I is 24 September 2026, 11:00 PM. The Commission generates the Entry Pass only for candidates who complete this mapping by the deadline.

What happens next

Once the Admission Certificate goes live, candidates should download and print it. Centres routinely refuse a phone screen at the gate, so a clear printed copy helps. This is added context, not part of the official notice. Confirm with the official website.

This notice does not give reporting time, gate closing time, or the list of prohibited items. Those details normally appear in the Admission Certificate itself or in a separate detailed notice closer to the exam date.
