Eligibility

Associate Professor (T-01) — Pharmaceutical Analysis

Essential qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade in the preceding degree, in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout, and at least 8 years of teaching, research or industrial experience, with recognised, high-quality published work and established seminal contributions in Pharmaceutical and allied areas.

Desirable: preference to candidates with a postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis; experience in AQbD, impurity profiling, data integrity, cGMP, GLP, ICH guidelines and DCGI/USFDA regulatory requirements; hands-on experience with HPLC, LC-MS-MS and GC-MS for API or finished-dosage analysis under IP, USP or BP; guided at least one Ph.D. student and a Master’s student; sponsored or EMR project experience; SCI journal publications.

Deputation route: Faculty from Central/State Universities or Government Institutions of Higher Education holding an analogous post, or with 5 years of regular service as Assistant Professor, and holding the qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment.

Age limit: Not exceeding 45 years for direct recruitment; 3 years’ relaxation for OBC-NCL candidates. Deputation candidates must be at least 3 years short of superannuation in their parent organisation.

Assistant Registrar (NT-01) — Administration

Essential qualification: Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University/Institute.

Experience: 8 years of relevant experience in a responsible supervisory position, including at least 5 years in the immediate lower grade pay of Section Officer/Administrative Officer (Pay Level 8) in a Central/State University, research institution, or a recognised autonomous body.

Desirable: experience in Establishment, Examinations or Finance.

Age limit: Not exceeding 40 years.

Receptionist-cum-Telephone Operator (NT-02) — Administration

Essential qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University/Institute.

Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in a Central/State Government organisation, PSU, university, research institute or recognised autonomous body, with good communication skills.

Desirable: proficiency in computer operation; front office experience; experience organising seminars, workshops or conferences and arranging logistics for dignitaries/guests; experience operating a telecommunication system in an institute.

Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years.

Junior Technical Assistant (NT-03) — Instrumentation

Essential qualification: Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science subject.

Desirable: knowledge of computers.

Age limit: Not exceeding 27 years.

This is the entry-level post on this notification, open to 12th pass candidates.

Selection process

Selection differs for the teaching and non-teaching posts.

For the Associate Professor post (T-01):

1. Screening of applications by the Selection Committee.
2. Seminar presentation before a duly constituted committee, for shortlisted candidates.
3. Interview before the Selection Panel — only for candidates recommended after the seminar presentation.

For the non-teaching posts (NT-01 to NT-03):

1. Written test.
2. Skill test and/or interview, for candidates shortlisted from the written test.

Application fee

The application fee depends on the pay level of the post, and certain categories are exempt.

• Teaching post (T-01) and non-teaching posts at Pay Level 10 and above (Assistant Registrar, NT-01): Rs. 2,000
• Other non-teaching posts (NT-02, NT-03): Rs. 1,000
• No fee for SC, ST, Persons with Disability, and Women candidates
• No fee for candidates applying on deputation
• Fee must be paid online only; once paid, it is not refunded or re-adjusted under any circumstances. Attach the payment receipt with the application.
