2. Senior Residents (1 Year) — 15 Posts

As with the Specialist posts, if a candidate is not available in the advertised category, the post may be filled for 44 days with a UR candidate.

Remuneration — Senior Resident

Senior Residents are paid as per orders issued by ESIC Headquarters from time to time, following ESIC norms for Senior Residency. Total emoluments are approximately ₹1,40,817 per month (Level 11 as per 7th CPC), applicable to PG Degree holders. Diploma holders and non-degree/diploma holders are not eligible for the allowance specified for postgraduate degree holders.

Eligibility (Post-wise)

Specialist (Full Time/Part Time) — all 8 departments

• Qualification: MBBS degree with TCMC registration, plus a Post Graduate Degree/DNB or Diploma in the concerned specialty.
• For ICU specifically: PG Degree or PG Diploma in Anaesthesia, General Medicine, Pulmonology, or Critical Care, registered with the Medical Council.
• Experience: 3 years in the respective specialty for degree holders, or 5 years for diploma holders.
• Age limit: Not exceeding 69 years as on the date of interview. Tenure beyond 70 years is not allowed.

Senior Resident — department-wise

All postgraduate additional qualifications must also be registered with the Medical Council.

Age limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of interview, with relaxation for reserved candidates as per rules.

Note: Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency are not eligible to attend this walk-in interview for the Senior Resident post.

Selection Process
