CISF posts are combatized, so candidates must clear a Physical Standard Test. The basic height standard is 170 cm for male and 157 cm for female candidates in the General, EWS, SC and OBC categories. Male chest is 80–85 cm. ST male candidates need 162.5 cm height and 77–82 cm chest, with 154 cm for ST females. Relaxed height standards (165 cm male / 155 cm female) apply to Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Sikkimese and candidates from listed North Eastern states and J&K, on production of the required certificate. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

• The written examination carries 100 marks and must be completed in a 2-hour duration.
