Junior National Championships recognised by the Railway Sports Promotions Board (RSPB) are also accepted for several disciplines, with achievements required from the current or preceding two years, that is, from 01.04.2024 onward.

Selection Process

Selection runs through a trial-based assessment rather than a written exam. All eligible candidates are first called for a physical trial, and only those candidates are carried forward for further evaluation.

1. Trial assessment (40 marks): Game skill, physical fitness, and coach’s observation. Candidates must secure at least 25 of these 40 marks to be declared FIT.
