About Bank of Baroda

Bank of Baroda is a nationalised bank under the ownership of India’s Ministry of Finance, and one of the country’s largest public sector banks. It is marking its 119th foundation year in 2026. The Bank offers regular banking, digital banking, corporate credit and treasury services, and recruits specialist officers directly into management grades to run its technology, security, facility, data and finance functions. For a candidate, a regular-basis Manager or Senior Manager post here means a Public Sector Bank pay scale, pension-linked service conditions, and a role that sits above entry-level clerical or Probationary Officer positions.

How this recruitment compares

This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the official website.

Bank of Baroda has run several specialist recruitment drives through 2026, covering departments such as Information Technology, MSME Banking, and Corporate & Institutional Credit. This notification (Advt. No. 2026/15) is a separate, freshly released drive covering Digital Banking, Facility Management, Information Security, Security, Enterprise Data Management, and Corporate Accounts & Taxation Planning — candidates should not confuse it with the Bank’s earlier 2026 notifications, which have different advertisement numbers, closing dates and eligibility criteria. Because every post here demands specific prior experience rather than a general banking aptitude test, competition tends to be narrower and more specialised than a mass-recruitment Probationary Officer exam, where lakhs of freshers compete for a common written test.

Important dates

Candidates should track these dates closely, since the Bank does not accept applications after the closing date.

Selected candidates also get Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and other bank-specific allowances and perquisites, as revised from time to time. Candidates checking their exact age against the cut-off date of 1 August 2026 can use the site’s Age Calculator before filling the form.

Selection process

Selection may involve more than one stage depending on the post, and the Bank has the right to change, add or waive any stage at its discretion.

  1. Application scrutiny — applications are checked against the eligibility criteria.
  2. Online test (if conducted) — Reasoning, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions/25 marks each, qualifying in nature) plus Professional Knowledge (75 questions/150 marks, counted for the final result). Total 150 questions, 225 marks, in 150 minutes (2 sittings of 75 minutes each). There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer; unattempted questions carry no penalty.
  3. Psychometric Test and/or Personal Interview (PI) — assesses personality, communication, problem-solving and willingness to work anywhere in India. The minimum qualifying score for the PI is 60% for General and EWS candidates and 55% for other reserved categories.
  4. Document verification — carried out at the interview stage, and again before joining.
  5. Medical examination — provisionally selected candidates must clear a pre-joining medical test at their own expense.

Shortlisting for interview is done in a ratio decided by the Bank, based on qualification, experience, domain expertise and other internal criteria that are not shared with candidates. Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview call. Candidates travel to the examination or interview centre at their own cost and risk — the Bank does not reimburse travel expenses or take responsibility for any loss.

Application fee

  • ₹850/- (inclusive of GST) plus payment gateway charges, for General, EWS and OBC candidates
  • ₹175/- (inclusive of GST) plus payment gateway charges, for SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Servicemen/Dependents of Ex-Servicemen (ESM/DESM) and Women candidates

The fee is non-refundable and must be paid irrespective of whether the online test is conducted, or whether the candidate is later shortlisted for interview.

How to apply

  1. Visit the Bank’s careers page at bankofbaroda.bank.in/Career.htm and go to Careers → Current Opportunities.

  5. Pay the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking or UPI.
  6. On successful payment, download and print the system-generated application form and e-receipt for your records.

Should you apply?

This recruitment suits experienced graduates and engineers, not freshers — every one of the 22 posts requires a minimum of two to ten years of post-qualification experience in a closely matching field, so candidates without that background will not clear eligibility, regardless of their degree. It genuinely suits professionals already working in civil/electrical engineering site execution, information security operations, data science and BI, corporate taxation and accounts, or ex-defence/police officers looking for a Physical Security management role in banking.

Competition is likely to be moderate rather than mass-scale, since the experience and certification requirements narrow the applicant pool for each post — unlike a Probationary Officer exam open to all graduates. The trade-off worth weighing: selected candidates go through a 12-month probation and must sign a service bond of 3 years, with a break-of-bond payment of up to ₹2 lakh for JMG/S-I posts and up to ₹3 lakh for MMG/S-II, MMG/S-III and SMG/S-IV posts if they leave early. Posting can be to any branch or office of the Bank anywhere in India, at the Bank’s sole discretion, so candidates unwilling to relocate should factor that in before applying.
