About the Organisation
Airports Authority of India is a Government of India Public Sector Enterprise, set up by an Act of Parliament. It has Mini Ratna Category-1 status. AAI builds, upgrades, and manages civil aviation infrastructure on the ground and in Indian airspace. Its head office is Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi. For a candidate, this means a central government job with defined pay scales and long-term stability in the aviation sector.

How This Recruitment Compares
This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.
This notification is wide in scope for a single advertisement. It covers 15 disciplines — engineering, finance, law, IT, architecture, fire services, operations, commercial, corporate planning, and corporate communications — hired together at two levels, Manager and Junior Executive. Most single PSU drives cover only one or two disciplines at a time. AAI also offers pay protection to candidates who join from another Central PSU, State PSU, or government department, under DPE guidelines, which is not offered in every PSU recruitment.
Because posting is anywhere in India, and eligibility is open to any UGC-recognised or Bar Council-recognised qualification nationwide, candidates should expect the competition to vary a great deal by post. Posts with a large number of seats, such as Manager (Engineering-Civil) at 145 posts and Junior Executive (Operations) at 79 posts, will draw a large applicant pool but also have more openings. Posts with very few seats, such as Manager (Law) at 2 posts and Manager (Corporate Planning & Management Services) at 1 post, will be far more competitive per seat.

Should You Apply?
This recruitment suits two different kinds of candidates. Manager posts suit engineers, finance professionals, lawyers, IT specialists, and other post-graduates who already have at least 3 years of relevant work experience and are under 32. Junior Executive posts suit fresh graduates and postgraduates in Finance, Law, Operations, or Survey & Cartography, since there is no experience requirement, though the age limit is lower, at 27.
The honest trade-off is pay against flexibility. Manager posts pay more, with an approximate CTC of ₹21 lakh a year, but need proven experience and come with an interview stage. Junior Executive posts pay less, at around ₹14 lakh a year, but are open to freshers. Both levels carry an all-India posting liability, so a candidate who needs a fixed city will find that a genuine constraint. Seats also vary sharply by discipline — engineering and operations posts have large numbers of vacancies, while Law and Corporate Planning have only one or two seats each, so competition will differ a great deal depending on which post a candidate chooses.
