IGM Recruitment 2026 –-Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the following qualifications as of the closing date:

  • Supervisor (Technical): 1st Class full-time Diploma in relevant Engineering branch (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Metallurgy) or B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg).
  • Junior Office/Bullion Assistant: Graduate in any discipline with computer knowledge and typing speed (English @40 wpm or Hindi @30 wpm).
  • Junior Technician: Full-time ITI certificate recognized by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade (Fitter, Turner, Electrician, etc.).
  • Engraver: Bachelor of Fine Arts (Sculpture/Metal Works) with at least 55% marks.
  • Laboratory Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Chemistry as a major subject (min 55% marks).

2. Age Relaxation

Upper age limit relaxation is applicable as per Govt. of India rules:

Selected candidates will receive a competitive IDA pay scale as per their level:

  • Supervisor (L-S1): 27,600 – 95,910
  • Engraver (L-B4): 23,910 – 85,570
  • Jr. Office/Bullion Assistant (L-B3): 21,540 – 77,160
  • Junior Technician (L-W1): 18,780 – 67,390

Selection Process

The selection will be strictly on a merit basis through an online process:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective-type exam.
  2. Typing/Skill Test: For Junior Office Assistant, Junior Bullion Assistant, and Jr. Hindi Typist (Qualifying in nature).
  3. Document Verification: For candidates who qualify for the online exam.
  4. Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to medical fitness.

Note: There is NO Negative Marking in the online examination.
