What happens next
Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Personality Test starting 28 September 2026. Three Range Recruitment Boards will run the test in Kolkata and the surrounding area. e-Call Letters will be available on the official websites from 21 September 2026. Candidates can download the e-Call Letter using their Application Sl. No. and Date of Birth.
Before the e-Call Letter download opens, candidates must upload these documents:
- Proof of age — Madhyamik pass certificate or admit card from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, or its equivalent, issued on or before 31 August 2023.
- Certificate and mark sheet for a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university, or its equivalent, obtained before the date of application.
- No Objection Certificate from the head of office, for candidates employed in a government organisation (as applicable).
- Domicile certificate for permanent residents of the Hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong district (as applicable).
- Community certificate for Gorkha, Rajbanshi and Garhwali candidates. This is mandatory for candidates who took relaxation in Physical Measurement.
- Caste certificate for SC and ST candidates, issued by the competent authority under the Government of West Bengal (as applicable).
- OBC certificate issued on or after 1 January 2023, under the latest State List of OBCs. An older certificate must be renewed or revalidated and shown at the Testimonial Checking Desk, or the candidate loses OBC reservation.
- Income and Asset Certificate (Annexure-C, West Bengal government jobs only), for EWS candidates, valid for 2022-2023 onward.

Candidates must carry a printout of the e-Call Letter to the test venue. Supporting Staff at the Range Recruitment Board will check it along with original testimonials on the day of the Personality Test.
WBPRB has confirmed the selection process is merit based. The Board has also warned candidates about touts and unscrupulous elements who make false promises of selection.
