The Objective Test consists of General Aptitude (Test of Reasoning, 25 marks, and English Language, 35 marks, both qualifying in nature) and Professional Knowledge (50 marks, counted for merit), with 45 minutes allotted. The Descriptive Test has 5 questions to be answered out of 8, carrying 50 marks, in 45 minutes. There is no negative marking.

The indicative syllabus for Professional Knowledge covers Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Financial sector laws, Procedural laws, New Labour Codes, and Principles of Statutory Interpretation and Legal Drafting. Selection Process
