Should you apply?
This job suits graduates in sericulture, agriculture, forestry or biology who want hands-on seed and rearing work at a CSB unit. Candidates with silkworm rearing and grainage experience hold the desirable qualification.
Competition depends on how many eligible candidates choose each unit, and the notices give no figure. Most units list a single post, so the unit a candidate picks shapes the chances in this Sericulture Assistant recruitment.
The main trade-off is job security. The engagement runs for one year and gives no right to regularisation, absorption or continuation. CSB decides the final posting, so a candidate may land far from home. The interview trip is at the candidate’s own cost. Candidates who need a permanent post should look at regular vacancies instead. This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.
