Local context / how it compares

This is added context, not part of the official notice. Confirm with the official website.

This drive is narrower than the large-scale IBPS-style bank recruitments that most candidates are familiar with. It is a Special Recruitment Drive limited to backlog vacancies reserved for SC, ST and OBC candidates, with only 8 posts spread across two grades, and it asks for specific post-qualification banking or audit experience rather than accepting freshers. That combination — a small, experience-linked, reserved-category drive — usually draws a smaller and more specialised applicant pool than a mass PSU bank hiring cycle.

Should you apply?

Exim Bank Recruitment 2026 drive suits experienced banking and finance professionals from SC, ST or OBC categories who already have relevant post-qualification experience — project finance and credit appraisal for Deputy Manager, internal or credit audit for Manager. It is not designed for freshers: both posts carry a minimum experience requirement, and the Manager post specifically needs 3 years in internal or credit audit work along with ICAI membership if applying through the CA route.

With only 8 posts across the two grades, competition will likely be limited to a smaller, experience-qualified pool rather than the lakhs of applicants typical of large PSU bank drives. The starting pay is strong for a banking role — around ₹18–20 lakh per annum depending on the grade — but candidates should weigh the trade-offs: an all-India posting liability, possible transfer outside India, and for Deputy Manager selectees, a 5-year service bond of ₹3 lakh from the date of joining.
