Eligibility

Selection Process

- Written exam. The paper is objective type (Multiple Choice Questions). Each question carries 1 mark, and ¼ mark is cut for each wrong answer.
- Merit list. The Board prepares it only from written exam marks.
- Counselling. Candidates come with documents for checking. The Board decides how many to call, based on category-wise posts.
- Recommendation. The Board sends the names of successful candidates to the department, against the posts open at that time.
If two candidates score equal marks, the older candidate ranks higher. Next, the higher percentage in the required qualification decides. The Matriculation marks settle any remaining tie.
Sportspersons follow the merit rule in the Punjab Sports Department notification dated 9 March 2026. Legal Assistant applicants will give their department preference later. The Board pays no TA or DA for the SSSB Punjab recruitment exam or counselling.
A call to counselling does not give a right to a recommendation. If a candidate cannot prove eligibility, the Board cancels the candidature, and its decision is final.

- New candidates click “Registration” and enter their details. The email ID becomes the User ID, and the system creates a password.
- Log in with the User ID and password.
- Fill in personal and educational details. Upload a passport size photo (or capture a live photo) and a scanned signature.
- Click “Save Draft” or “Next”. Then click “Attach Annexure” and upload the Class 10 certificate, qualification certificates and other required documents in PDF format.
- Click “Save Documents”, then “Make payment” and pay the fee online.
- Click “Submit”. The full form appears on screen. Print it and keep it safe.
Candidates can reopen a saved draft from Menu, View Status of Application, View Incomplete Application. No change is possible after submission. The Board advises candidates to fill the form themselves, without a cyber cafe.
