Terms of engagement

- Travel: Young Professionals may be required to travel to any place in India on official duty. Travel allowance and daily allowance are admissible at the rate applicable to an Assistant Section Officer of the Central Government.
- Insurance: Each Young Professional is solely responsible for arranging and paying for their own life, health and other insurance during the contract period.
- Confidentiality: Young Professionals are governed by the Official Secrets Act, 1923. All information, records, papers, software and emails handled during the engagement remain government property.
- Notice period: Either side can end the engagement by giving 30 days’ notice, or pay instead of it.
- No claim to future employment: The period of engagement does not confer any claim or right to further engagement with DGFT or any other government department.
Selection process
