About Bank of Baroda and the WMS Department

The Chief General Manager (HRM & Marketing) at Mumbai signed this advertisement. The vacancies sit in the Wealth Management Services department, which serves affluent, HNI and UHNI clients. Its work covers client acquisition, investment and insurance products, portfolio reviews and growth in assets under management (AUM).

The notice also sets rules from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on documenting customer needs, informed consent and product suitability. Bank of Baroda recruitment for these posts lists NISM or IRDA certifications in the eligibility of every position.

Local Context and How It Compares

The Bank will post selected candidates at any of its offices or branches in India, depending on its needs from time to time. The notice asks only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India to apply. Candidates from Darjeeling, Sikkim, North Bengal and the North East should apply only if they can relocate.

The Bank of Baroda recruitment is a contract engagement for experienced candidates. Entry-level bank officer hiring, where freshers sit a common exam, works differently. Here, the Bank checks years of experience, certifications and interview performance. Candidates can also compare it with other latest jobs across India and with current government job updates.

This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.

Selection Process

The Bank of Baroda recruitment process may use several stages. The Bank can add, change or cancel any stage at its discretion. Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a call for the interview.

  1. Application scrutiny, based on qualifications, relevant experience, domain expertise and suitability.

  4. Personal interview (PI).

The minimum qualifying marks in the PI are 60% for General and EWS candidates and 55% for other reserved categories. The Bank can vary these marks. Candidates who tie at the cut-off are ranked by age in descending order.

Candidates who work in Government or quasi-government offices or public sector undertakings must carry a No Objection Certificate from their employer. This includes staff of nationalised banks and financial institutions.

Should you apply?

The Bank of Baroda recruitment suits candidates with proven wealth management experience who can move to any city or branch. The 791 Senior Relationship Manager posts are the widest entry point. The other four positions share 46 posts and need 5 to 12 years of experience.

Competition is likely to be strong, because the Bank shortlists on experience, certifications and suitability. It will not suit candidates whose experience is only clerical, teaching or training, or who cannot relocate.

The main trade-off is the term. Bank of Baroda recruitment here means a 5-year contract, extendable by up to 5 more years at the Bank’s discretion and valid until age 60 at most. The posts also carry business, revenue and AUM targets. Pay is set per candidate, so no fixed pay scale exists to compare.

This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.
