WBJS Prelims 2024 Cut-off Marks
WBPSC has fixed the following category-wise cut-off marks for qualifying to the Final Examination provisionally. The marks are out of 200.

Standard of Performance: What UR, R, R_EWS and R_PwBD Mean
The result list marks each candidate with a “Standard”. It decides which vacancies the candidate is suitable for.
- UR (Unreserved): Candidates who do not get any relaxation in marks. They are suitable for unreserved vacancies as well as reserved vacancies (OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD-UR) as per their category and EWS/PwBD status.
- R (Reserved): Reserved category candidates who get relaxation in marks. They are suitable for reserved vacancies only, as per their category.
- R_EWS: EWS candidates who get relaxation in marks. They are suitable for EWS vacancies only.
- R_PwBD: PwBD candidates who get relaxation in marks. They are suitable for unreserved PwBD vacancies only.
- R+R_PwBD: PwBD candidates from reserved categories who get relaxation in marks. They are suitable for both reserved vacancies (as per category) and PwBD (UR) vacancies.
OBC Reservation Notifications
The notice states that the reservation for the OBC category has been applied as per Notification Nos. 944-BCW/MR-23/2026 and 945-BCW/MR-23/2026, both dated 18 May 2026. - Open the official WBPSC website, psc.wb.gov.in, or use the PDF link given above.
- Open the notice dated 14 October 2026 for the WBJS (Preli.) Examination, 2024 (Advt. No. 9/2024).
- The list is arranged in order of roll numbers. Press Ctrl+F and search your roll number.
- If your roll number is listed, check your category and “Standard” shown against it.
- Download and save the PDF for future reference.
Important Instructions for Qualified Candidates
- Provisional call: Candidates are qualified for the Final Examination provisionally, subject to verification of their eligibility and suitability in all respects.
- Document verification: Documents such as proof of age, academic qualification, caste certificate, PwBD status and EWS status will be verified at the stage of the Personality Test, if the candidate qualifies for it.
- Risk of cancellation: If a candidate fails to produce any of the required original certificates before the Personality Test, he/she will not be interviewed and the candidature will be liable to be cancelled.
- Even after appointment: If a candidate is found ineligible in terms of the advertisement at any stage, even after the letter of appointment is issued, the candidature will be cancelled.
