Eligibility

DGM – Product Development

DRDO is the Defence Research and Development Organisation. CSIR is the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. NIFT is the National Institute of Fashion Technology.

• Route A, qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering, Clothing Technology, Textile Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science or equivalent.
• Route A, experience: 10 years in the garment (Clothing Technology) field, at DRDO, CSIR, textile academic or research institutions, or at reputed clothing organisations.
• Route B: Retired employees of DRDO, CSIR, NIFT or government academic or research institutions who served at pay level 12 or above.
• Age limit: not more than 45 years for Route A and 65 years for Route B.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field. Experience in aerial delivery systems, inflatable rubber products, technical textiles, nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) suits or protective fabrics.

Sr. Manager – Supply Chain Management

• Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline, with 5 years of relevant experience after qualification.
• Option 2: Diploma in Engineering in a relevant discipline, with 7 years of relevant experience after qualification.
• Age limit: not more than 40 years.
• Preferred: MBA or PGDM in Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials or Operations Management. Experience in procurement, vendor, logistics, inventory and contract management at government bodies, large manufacturers or reputed industrial establishments. Experience with Government e-Marketplace (GeM), e-procurement, vendor development and supply chain digitisation is an added advantage.

Sr. Manager – Additive Manufacturing

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with specialisation in Additive Manufacturing (AM), or an AM certification after a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience: 5 years, with substantial hands-on work in AM technology development, process qualification or industrialisation.
• Age limit: not more than 40 years.
• Preferred: Aerospace or defence component development and AM process and machine qualification. Knowledge of metal powders, material characterisation, CAD/CAM and AM build-preparation software, and ISO/ASTM 52920 and 52926 series standards.

Manager – Legal

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law from a university or institution approved by the Bar Council of India.
• Experience: 3 years of relevant experience after qualification.
• Age limit: not more than 35 years.
• Preferred: Experience in a PSU, government organisation, corporate or industrial organisation or reputed law firm. Contracts, arbitration, litigation, corporate and service matters are preferred areas.

Junior Assistant

• Qualification: Graduate in any discipline.
• Computer skill: Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer applications. A certificate from a Central or State government-approved or authorised agency is required.
• Typing speed: 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
• Age limit: not more than 30 years.

Age relaxation

The upper age limit rises by 5 years for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. It rises by 3 years for Other Backwards Classes non-creamy layer (OBC-NCL) candidates. Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) get up to 10 years more, over and above the SC, ST or OBC-NCL relaxation. Selection process

Selection in Gliders India recruitment depends on the number of applications received.

1. GIL checks qualifications, experience, positions held, accreditation and achievements.
2. GIL holds a written test, an interview or both.

GIL may set a weighted chart for marking. Academic or experience marks and the written test generally carry 50% weight, and the interview carries 50%. Candidates need at least 50% in each part.
