About Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. STPI supports the growth of the IT and IT-enabled services industry and runs centres in many cities across the country, including the locations named in this notice. This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office. A posting with STPI places a candidate inside a central government autonomous body, with the same pay matrix, probation and service rules that apply to comparable Group ‘B’ government posts.

Local Context and How This Compares

This notice covers posts spread across six STPI centres — Guwahati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore (Bhopal), Noida and New Delhi — rather than one single office. Of the 10 vacancies, one Administrative Officer post (UR category) is based at STPI Guwahati, which brings a central autonomous-body posting within reach for candidates from Assam and the wider North East, unlike many similar recruitments that only open in metro cities. This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.

Compared to a typical single-state Public Service Commission recruitment, this notice offers a central government autonomous-body role spread across six cities, with one common written exam pattern that differs by post. Candidates should weigh their willingness to relocate before applying, since a selected candidate can be posted at any STPI centre, not only the location shown against the vacancy applied for.

Should You Apply?

STPI’s 2026 notice suits candidates who want a stable central government autonomous-body job and are open to relocating, since the 10 posts are spread across Guwahati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore (Bhopal), Noida and New Delhi with no guarantee of a candidate’s preferred city. The Administrative Officer and Assistant posts suit graduates with the right experience or educational background; the two MTSS posts suit diploma or degree holders in electronics, computer science or IT; and the Office Attendant post is open to candidates who have passed matriculation, making it one of the more accessible entry points in this notice. This is added context, not part of the official notification. Confirm with the hiring office.

All posts except Office Attendant can also be filled by absorption, which favours serving Central/State Government or PSU employees who already meet the service and pay-level conditions. Every post carries a two-year probation period before the appointment is confirmed. Candidates should also weigh the negative marking in the written exam and the category-wise minimum qualifying marks before applying.
