Educational Qualification – ESIC Walk-in Kolkata 2026
- For Clinical / Non-Clinical Departments:
- Medical PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty from a MCI/NMC recognised Medical Institution/Hospital, OR
- Postgraduate medical degree in Master of Science with Doctor of Philosophy in the subjects of Medical Anatomy, Medical Biochemistry, or Medical Physiology.
- Candidates must be registered under MCI/NMC/State Medical Council.
- Candidates on bond are not eligible.
- Candidates who have completed the post PG Bond Service need to provide a Bond Clearance Certificate from the Appointing Authority.
- For Dental Department:
- Post-Graduate Degree (MDS) in a dental specialty.
- Registered with Dental Council of India (DCI) / State Dental Council.
- For Super Specialties:
- DM/MCh/DNB in the concerned subject, OR
- MD/MS/DNB qualified graduates in the concerned broad specialty.
- Note: Engagement for Super Specialty posts will be subject to successful engagement of teaching faculty in the same Super Specialties.
- Important: Candidates who have already completed 3 years of tenure as Senior Resident in any Government Institution are not eligible to apply. Senior Residents currently working in any Government Institution can apply only after obtaining a NOC from the respective institute.

Selection Process for ESIC Walk-in Kolkata 2026
The selection process for this walk-in interview is fairly transparent. It is performance-based, which means your interview matters the most. However, if there is a very high turnout of candidates, don’t be surprised if a screening test is conducted first — it has happened in several ESIC recruitments in recent years.
- Document Verification – Candidates must report between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM at the Academic Block, 2nd Floor, ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka with all original documents and one set of self-attested copies.
- Screening Test (If Required) – If candidate turnout is more than 1:10 per post, a multiple-choice questions (MCQ) screening test in the concerned discipline may be conducted to shortlist candidates. Note: Screening test marks will not be linked to the final selection.

Mode of Payment: A Demand Draft of ₹500/- in favour of ‘ESI Fund Account No.1’ drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Kolkata must be submitted along with the application form at the time of document verification and walk-in interview.
Important Notes on Fee:
- Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- Only a Demand Draft drawn on a scheduled bank will be accepted. Any other payment mode will not be accepted.
- The Demand Draft must be issued after the date of issue of this advertisement (i.e., after 11th of May 2026).
- A security deposit of ₹32,000/- via Demand Draft in favour of ESI Fund Account No.1 is to be submitted at the time of joining. This is refundable upon completion of the engagement period.
