How to Apply for SSC Phase XIV Recruitment 2026
There are two parts or process for online application. You must first register your profile at mySSC Mobile App and then apply for the specific vacancy. Here we have explained both the Parts. Steps involved in Part one and steps involved in Part II. Lets start with the part I process carefully:
Part 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)
If you are a new user, you must create a permanent profile on the new SSC website.
- Visit the Website: Go to SSC.GOV.IN and click on “Login or Register”.
- Enter Personal Details: Type in your name, father’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth exactly as they appear on your 10th Class (Matriculation) Certificate.
- Verify Contact Info: Provide your working mobile number and email address. You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on both to verify them.
- Aadhaar Authentication: Choose the Aadhaar Based Authentication option. This is the easiest way to verify your identity and prevents your application from being rejected for minor photo errors.
- Create Password: After saving your basic details, you will get a Registration Number. Use it to log in and create a new, secure password.
- Additional Details: Fill in your category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), nationality, and permanent address.
- Final Submit: Review all information and click “Final Submit” to complete your OTR.
Part 2: Filling the Online Application
After completing your Part I i.e. OTR, you can proceed to apply for the specific posts you want.
- Login: Use your Registration Number and password to log into your dashboard. (the one you had created in part I)
- Start Application: Click the “Apply” link under the “Phase-XIV/2026/Selection Posts Examination” section.
- Select Job Details: Choose the Region and the Post Code you are applying for. The job name and level (10th, 12th, or Graduate) will appear automatically.
- Choose Exam Centers: Select three cities where you would like to take the exam.(Enter the nearest center in first followed by other two nearest one)
- Capture Live Photo: The system uses your webcam or phone camera to take a real-time photo. Do not upload an old picture.
- Rule: Sit in a well-lit room with a plain background.
- Rule: Keep your face straight and do not wear a cap, mask, or glasses.
- Upload Signature: Upload a scanned image of your signature. It must be in JPEG format and between 10 KB to 20 KB in size.
- Review and Pay: Check your application using the “Preview” button. If everything is correct, pay the ₹100 fee online (unless you are a woman or from an exempted category like SC/ST).
- Submit and Print: Click “Submit” and download a PDF copy of your application for your records.
Important Deadline: Submit your application before 04.05.2026 (11:00 PM). Do not wait until the last day, as the website may become very slow.
Important Note for Candidates : You need to understand New SSC Sliding Framework System 2026 Introduced by SSC which was notified on 08.04.2026. In the past, many vacancies stayed empty because some candidates did not show up for Document Verification or did not join their assigned office. According to a notice from 03.03.2026, this new system allows the SSC to give those vacant post to other qualified candidates in one extra round of matching.

THINGS TO KNOW – SOME IMPORTANT POINTS FOR CANDIDATES – SSC Selection Vacancy
Exam Structure & Scoring: The Computer-Based Examination (CBT) consists of 100 questions across four sections: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. Be careful—there is a negative marking of 0.50 for each incorrect answer.
Mandatory New OTR: All candidates must complete a new One-Time Registration (OTR) on the updated official portal, ssc.gov.in. Previous registrations from the old website are no longer valid for this recruitment.
Strict Live Photo Capture: SSC now requires a live photograph captured via webcam or the official mySSC Mobile App during the application. The photo must have a plain, light background and be taken without caps, masks, or spectacles/glasses, even if prescribed.
Aadhaar Verification: While optional, using Aadhaar-based authentication during registration is highly recommended to simplify identity checks and future verification processes.(For Aadhar based authentication your mobile number has to be linked with Aadhar number, if not registered visit the nearest post office and link your Aadhaar card by paying Rs. 50/- as update fee)
