About the organisation
Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) is the constitutional body that runs recruitment for Government of Sikkim posts. It was set up under Article 315 of the Constitution of India after Sikkim became part of the Indian Union in May 1975. SPSC is headquartered at the Old Tourism Complex, M.G. Marg, Gangtok. For candidates, an SPSC post means a formal, exam-based selection into a state government cadre, with reservation rules that favour candidates who are domiciled in Sikkim.

Reaching Gangtok and who this job suits
The notification asks candidates to read, write and speak a State language and to know local customs and traditions. This means the post is meant for candidates who already live in or are familiar with Sikkim, not for a general all-India applicant pool. B.Sc Agriculture and Horticulture graduates trained at institutes such as the College of Agricultural Engineering and Post Harvest Technology (CAEPHT), Ranipool, are a natural fit for this recruitment. This is added context based on general travel and education information, not part of the official notification.

Confirm the current figure, and the exact probation-period pay, with SPSC or the Finance Department, Government of Sikkim.
