NILD Jobs 2026 – Selection Process
Selection process for NILD Jobs 2026 follows a common process across all six centres, with one extra step for posts that draw a high number of applications.
- All posts are shortlisted and finally selected through a personal interview.
- For Group B and Group C posts — Pathology Technician to Pharmacist at NILD Kolkata (Sl. No. 07–19), Orientation & Mobility Instructor to Guest Faculty (VI) at CRC Patna (Sl. No. 03–11), Vocational Instructor at CRC Sikkim (Sl. No. 02), Speech Therapist, Office Assistant and Attendant (MTS) at RC Aizawl (Sl. No. 02–04), and Accountant at RC Naharlagun (Sl. No. 01) — a written test is added before the interview, but only if the institute receives more than 20 applications for that specific post.
- A skill test is conducted for technical posts wherever the skill or qualification forms an essential part of the job. It is held before the personal interview and used only for shortlisting.
- Weightage: where a post has no desirable qualification or desirable experience listed, the written test/interview together carry 100% weightage. Where either a desirable qualification or desirable experience is listed, they carry 90% weightage.
- In case of a tie in the written test, the candidate with the older date of birth is placed higher.
