NAeL Recruitment 2026 – 28 Operator SS and Junior Assistant Posts

Naini Aerospace Limited (NAeL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), has invited online applications for various Non-Executive posts under Advertisement No. NAeL/Rectt./26/02. About Naini Aerospace Limited

Naini Aerospace Limited (NAeL) was incorporated on 29 December 2016 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Vacancy Details and Salary

NAeL has notified 28 posts across seven post/discipline combinations, on Fixed Term Employment (FTE) basis for four years in the Non-Executive cadre. The table below reproduces the full category-wise breakdown from the notification.

UR = Unreserved, OBC = Other Backward Classes, SC = Scheduled Caste, ST = Scheduled Tribe, EWS = Economically Weaker Section. The notification states these vacancy numbers are tentative and may change on review, and category-wise numbers may be revised accordingly.

Added context: “Shortfall” against a category usually means a reserved post carried forward, unfilled, from an earlier recruitment cycle — this is standard government recruitment terminology and not a NAeL-specific detail. Confirm with NAeL if in doubt.

Monthly Pay Breakdown

Candidates are also entitled to Casual Leave, Earned Leave (2.5 days per month of service), four sets of uniform once every two years with stitching and shoe allowance, Meal Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, Gratuity after one year of service, and Maternity Benefits for female personnel under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.

Eligibility (Mapped Per Post)

• Operator SS (Electronics Mechanic) — 2-year regular/full-time ITI (NTC) after 10th standard in the Electronics Mechanic trade.
• Operator SS (Fitter) — 2-year regular/full-time ITI (NTC) after 10th standard in the Fitter trade.
• Operator SS (Electrician) — 2-year regular/full-time ITI (NTC) after 10th standard in the Electrician trade.
• Junior Assistant (IMM) — Full-time B.Com or B.Sc with a Computer Proficiency Certificate (minimum 6 months), OR full-time BCA.
• Junior Assistant (HR) — Full-time BA / B.Sc / BBA / BSW with a Typing, Stenography or Computer Proficiency Certificate (minimum 6 months).
• Junior Assistant (Finance) — Full-time B.Com or BBA with a Computer Proficiency Certificate (minimum 6 months).
• Junior Assistant (IT) — Full-time BCA or B.Sc (Computer/IT).

For all four Junior Assistant posts, 1 year of experience in the relevant functional area is an added advantage, not a mandatory requirement.

Candidates must have completed the required qualification on or before 31 May 2026. Part-time, correspondence, distance-education or e-learning qualifications are not accepted, and candidates with a higher qualification than what is required for a post are not eligible to apply.

Qualifying marks in the qualifying examination: UR / OBC-NCL / EWS candidates need 60% and above; SC / ST / PwBD candidates need 50% and above. NAeL may raise this cut-off if too many candidates qualify.

Age limit: Upper age limit is 28 years as on 31 May 2026 for UR and EWS candidates. Relaxations:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): additional 10 years, over and above category relaxation
• Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir (01/01/1980–31/12/1989): 5 years
• Relevant post-qualification experience: up to 7 years’ relaxation (1 year per completed year of experience beyond 28), subject to a maximum age of 35 years
• Disabled Ex-servicemen: up to 45 years (50 for SC/ST, 48 for OBC), plus 3 additional years for the Non-Executive cadre
• Ex-apprentice trainees: relaxed by the period of apprenticeship training undergone
• Maximum age with all relaxations: 55 years (56 years for PwBD candidates)

Selection Process

Selection is based only on marks scored in the Written Test, in order of merit — there is no interview.

1. Online applications are screened against the eligibility criteria.
2. Candidates must meet the qualifying percentage in their qualifying examination (60% for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS, 50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
3. Shortlisted candidates appear for the Written Test at Prayagraj — 2½ hours, 160 MCQs in total: 20 questions on General Awareness, 40 on English & Reasoning, and 100 on the concerned Discipline/Trade/Stream. Each question carries 1 mark; there is no negative marking.
4. Candidates need at least 50% marks in the Written Test to qualify (40% for SC/ST/PwBD, after a 10% relaxation).
5. Candidates are called for Document Verification in order of merit, limited to the number of posts notified per discipline/category.
6. Document Verification covers educational certificates, category/EWS/disability proof, and character & antecedent verification.
7. Qualified candidates get a Provisional Offer, followed by a Pre-Employment Medical Examination — no relaxation in health standards is allowed.
8. A Final Offer of Engagement is issued after satisfactory medical and verification reports.

One practical note from the notification: candidates who qualify Document Verification are reimbursed Travelling Allowance (Sleeper Class/II Class train fare, or bus fare by the shortest route) on producing proof of travel.

Other Conditions to Note

• Only Indian nationals are eligible.
• A candidate may apply for one post only — the one they are most eligible for.
• These vacancies are open to external candidates only, through Direct Recruitment; internal candidates will not be considered.
• Candidates currently employed in Central/State Government or PSUs (including on contract) must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at Document Verification.
• The court of jurisdiction for any dispute is Prayagraj.

Application fee, once paid, is not refunded under any circumstances — even if the application is later found ineligible or rejected.

How to Apply

1. Visit the NAeL website and complete registration.
2. Ex-apprentices of NAeL register using their Contract Number, Apprenticeship Number, Date of Birth, and apprenticeship training period.
3. Employment Exchange / Sainik Board sponsored candidates must enter the reference number and date of the NAeL communication, along with their unique sponsorship code.
4. Other candidates register and apply online for the one post they are most eligible for.
5. Fill in the application carefully — once submitted, it cannot be edited.
6. Pay the application fee online, where applicable.
7. Note the system-generated Registration/Acknowledgement number for future reference.
8. Download the admit card from the NAeL website from 31 July 2026 onward.

Should You Apply?

This vacancy suits ITI-trained candidates in the Electronics Mechanic, Fitter or Electrician trades, and graduates in Commerce, Arts, Science, BBA, BSW or BCA, who want hands-on experience in aircraft and helicopter component manufacturing. Selection through a Written Test only, with no interview, keeps the process transparent and merit-based.

It does not suit candidates who need a permanent government job right away. NAeL’s engagement is Fixed Term for four years in the Non-Executive cadre, and it ends automatically without further notice — it is not a route to guaranteed regular employment.

Pay is modest for a defence-linked PSU: around Rs 4.56 lakh CTC for Operator SS and Rs 4.96 lakh CTC for Junior Assistant, though this includes EPF, gratuity, HRA and medical allowance. With only 28 posts and a single exam centre at Prayagraj, competition is likely to be high, especially for Junior Assistant posts, where just 2–3 seats are open per stream. Candidates from ITI backgrounds have more openings overall — 19 of the 28 posts — and may find comparatively better odds.
