CSIR-NAL Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

Here’s how candidates will be selected:

  1. Junior Secretariat Assistant (Gen/S&P/F&A):
    • Competitive Written Examination: Two papers (Paper-I: Mental Ability Test; Paper-II: General Awareness and English Language). Paper-I is qualifying, and merit is based on Paper-II.
    • Proficiency Test in Computer Typing: Qualifying in nature (English: 35 w.p.m.; Hindi: 30 w.p.m.).
  2. Junior Stenographer:
    • Competitive Written Examination: One paper with three parts (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, English Language & Comprehension).
    • Proficiency Test in Stenography: Qualifying in nature (dictation at 80 w.p.m., transcription time: 50 min for English, 65 min for Hindi).

Note: Tests will be conducted in Bengaluru, with the sequence of tests notified on www.nal.res.in.
