Should you apply?

The CWC JJB recruitment suits candidates with seven years of work with children. It also suits practising professionals with a degree in law, sociology or child psychology. Candidates with a full-time job fit less well, since the body sits on all working days for at least six hours.

Only 8 posts are open across six districts, and most districts have a single post. Competition for one post is likely to be tight, and the notices give no applicant figures. The pay is an allowance per sitting, so it works better as public service than as a main income.

A CWC member can serve two terms at most, and the terms must not be continuous. Candidates weighing the CWC JJB recruitment should check the conduct rules first, especially any party office or child care institution link. More government jobs are listed on the site.
