IBPS CRP CSA-XVI Edit Window 2026 – Check Dates & Fee

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released an Important Notice on 3 September 2026 on its official website, www.ibps.in, opening an “Edit Window” for candidates of the Common Recruitment Process for Customer Service Associates, CRP CSA-XVI, in participating public sector banks, for vacancies of 2027-28. The window allows candidates to correct or modify details in their already-submitted online application form.

The Edit Window is open from 04.09.2026 to 05.09.2026, a period of 2 days. Only candidates who successfully submitted a completed application along with the requisite fee within the original registration period can use it, and a correction fee applies. Who can use the Edit Window?

Only candidates who have already successfully submitted their completed online application along with payment of the requisite fee or intimation charges, within the specified registration period, are eligible to use the Edit Window.

A candidate can correct and re-submit the modified application only once during this window. The notice is explicit that no further updation will be allowed if a candidate makes a mistake in the corrected application. Candidates must check every field carefully before submitting the corrected form, since there is no second attempt.

Fields that cannot be edited

The notice states that data submitted in the original application for the following fields cannot be edited:

• Name
• Email ID
• Mobile Number
• State/UT field in vacancy
• State/UT field in Correspondence address
• State/UT field in Permanent address
• Post
• Nationality

Category change rules

Correction to the Category field is allowed only within these combinations, as per the notice:

If a candidate changes category from GEN, EWS or OBC to SC, ST or PwBD, the fee already paid at the time of the original application will not be refunded.

Correction fee

The fee for modifying or correcting the application form is ₹200 (inclusive of GST). This correction fee applies uniformly to every candidate, regardless of category, and is not refundable under any circumstances, nor can it be adjusted against any other examination.

Only the latest modified application, once the correction fee is received, will be treated as valid. If a candidate has submitted multiple applications for CRP CSA-XVI, the notice advises editing the latest application only.

This is added context, not part of the official notice: since only one correction attempt is allowed, keeping the login credentials, category certificate details and the original payment receipt ready before starting may help avoid an error during the single edit. What happens if the window is missed

The notice is explicit on this point: after the expiry of the Edit Window, no change, correction or modification will be allowed under any circumstances, and no requests in this regard will be entertained.
