About Cotton Corporation of India
CCI is a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Textiles. It supports cotton growers by helping them sell their kapas produce at competitive prices in market yards across the country. Its procurement work runs through 19 branches and more than 590 market yards, from the start of the cotton arrivals season to its end, with headquarters at CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.
For a candidate, this means a central government job with exposure to India’s agricultural supply chain and commodity trade, rather than a desk-only office role — several posts on this notice involve direct field and market-yard work.

How This Recruitment Compares
CCI’s 148 vacancies make this one of the more active current openings in the agri-marketing PSU space. NAFED, the comparable central agri-cooperative body, has no similarly large recruitment running at present. Larger management-trainee drives are on offer elsewhere this year (Coal India’s 2026 MT recruitment, for instance, covers 660 posts) but those are aimed at engineering graduates, not agriculture, commerce, or accounts backgrounds.
Within this notice itself, 130 of the 148 posts (Junior Commercial Executive and both Junior Assistant streams) need only a bachelor’s degree. This is added context based on the pattern of similar central PSU recruitments, not part of the official notification: graduate-entry posts of this kind typically draw a much larger applicant pool than the specialist Assistant Manager or CA/CMA-qualified Management Trainee posts, so competition is likely to be sharper at the Junior Assistant/JCE level. Confirm current trends with the hiring office or CCI’s own updates.
The written test is held in 11 cities: Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Patna, and Jaipur. Candidates should pick the city nearest to them when filling the form, since requests to change centre, date or time are not entertained later.

Important Dates
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Opening of online registration | 09/07/2026 |

The application portal itself stays open only between 9 July 2026, 09:30 hours and 24 July 2026, 23:55 hours. Candidates are advised not to wait for the last day, since heavy last-minute traffic can prevent submission, and CCI has stated it will not take responsibility for applications that fail to go through for this reason.
Vacancy Details and Salary
CCI has notified 148 posts across seven categories. Regular and backlog vacancies are shown separately, along with the category-wise split for regular vacancies.

Notes on pay: CCI lists these as IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance) scales. Added context, not part of the official notification: IDA scales generally revise dearness allowance more frequently than CDA/7th Pay Commission scales, and gross pay usually includes DA, HRA and other allowances on top of the basic figures shown. Confirm the current DA rate and full pay breakup with CCI at the time of joining.
Other service conditions confirmed in the notice: selected candidates serve a 12-month probation, and must execute a service bond to serve CCI for a minimum of 3 years, or pay 3 months’ basic pay in lieu.

Selection Process
Selection runs through a written test, a document check, and a fitness check. Here is how the notice describes each stage.
- Computer Based Test (CBT). All seven posts use the same format: 120 objective MCQs to be attempted in 120 minutes, in five sections covering General English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge, and Subject Knowledge (with a Computer Proficiency section added for most posts). Each correct answer gets 1 mark; each wrong answer loses 0.25 marks.
- Document Verification. Shortlisted candidates must bring original certificates for identity, qualification, age and category, along with a No Objection Certificate if currently employed with government, semi-government, or a PSU.
- Medical Fitness. The notice states appointment is subject to the candidate being found medically fit.
The minimum qualifying percentage in the CBT is 40% for UR/EWS/OBC candidates and 35% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates. No travelling allowance (TA/DA) is paid for appearing at the test or at document verification; candidates bear their own travel cost.

Should You Apply?
This notice suits two quite different sets of candidates. For those with a professional or postgraduate qualification — Hindi PG, IT degree, MBA in agribusiness, or CA/CMA — there are only 18 posts in total (Assistant Manager and Management Trainee combined), so competition per seat is likely to be intense.
For graduates in agriculture, commerce, or any discipline, the 130 Junior Commercial Executive and Junior Assistant posts are a wider door into a central PSU, though the pay scale (Rs 22,000–90,000) and posting pattern are worth weighing. Junior Commercial Executive postings, in particular, go to rural and remote market-yard locations, not city offices, and CCI can post any selected candidate anywhere in India and can change job profiles at its discretion.
The trade-off is straightforward: steady government employment and IDA-linked pay, against a 3-year service bond and postings the candidate may not get to choose. Candidates who value job security over location flexibility are the best fit here.
FAQs
What is the last date to apply for CCI Recruitment 2026?
The online registration and fee payment close on 24 July 2026. The login window for the application form itself stays open until 23:55 hours that day. Candidates should apply well before the deadline, since the Corporation does not accept submissions after the link is disabled.
Can existing CCI employees apply under relaxed eligibility?
Yes, for Junior Commercial Executive and Junior Assistant (Accounts/General) only. Regular or temporary CCI staff need just Any Graduate (10+2+3) qualification for these three posts, and get age relaxation equal to their years of CCI service, provided they meet the other direct-recruitment conditions.
Is there a personal interview in the CCI selection process?
The notification describes a Computer Based Test followed by document verification, with appointment subject to the candidate being found medically fit. It does not mention a separate personal interview stage for any of these seven posts.
