1. Chief General Manager (Technical): Selection through promotion or deputation via a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC). NHAI may screen applications and conduct written tests or interviews at its discretion. The appointing authority’s decision is final.
2. Deputy Manager (IT): Selection based on GATE 2025 scores in Computer Science and Information Technology. If applications are numerous, NHAI may shortlist candidates using criteria set by the Selection Committee. Merit for candidates with the same GATE rank is determined by date of birth (older candidates ranked higher) or alphabetically by initial name if dates are identical.
3. Assistant Highway Engineer: Selection based on application and document review. NHIPMPL may verify documents, and submission does not guarantee an interview or selection.

Follow these simple steps to submit your application:

For Chief General Manager (Technical) and Deputy Manager (IT):

1. Visit www.nhai.gov.in.
2. Navigate to About Us > Vacancies > Current, click on the relevant advertisement, then select Online Application.
3. Register with:
   • User ID (your choice).
   • Password.
   • Name.
   • Phone number.
   • Email ID.
   • Aadhar number (optional).
4. Log in using credentials sent to your registered email.
5. Select the post and complete the application form, uploading:
   • Scanned color passport-size photograph (jpg/jpeg/png/gif, max 1 MB).
   • Digital signature (jpg/jpeg/png/gif, max 1 MB).
   • Educational/professional qualifications, promotion/appointment orders (jpg/jpeg/png/gif/pdf, max 1 MB for Chief General Manager; pdf, max 2 MB for Deputy Manager).
