Order of Preference for Merit List

Candidates who do not have apprenticeship experience in ammunition and explosives will be deployed on work only after undergoing safety and technical scrutiny training conducted by Ordnance Factory Dehuroad.

Age Limit

Selection Process

Selection is entirely merit-based, combining academic performance with a short interaction. There is no written examination for this recruitment.

1. A merit list is prepared from marks scored in the qualifying degree/diploma/B.Sc. (Chemistry) examination and a Personal Interaction/Interview, weighted 85% and 15% respectively.
2. Ordnance Factory Dehu Road decides the cut-off percentage in the qualifying examination for calling candidates to the personal interaction/interview, to ensure sufficient competition.
3. Candidates scoring above the cut-off are called for Document Verification in order of merit, discipline-wise and category-wise, limited to the number of posts notified.
4. If a candidate is rejected at Document Verification — for reasons such as missing documents or not meeting the advertised eligibility on age, qualification or experience — the next candidate in the merit order is called, up to the number of posts advertised.
5. Candidates who qualify at Document Verification are issued Offers of Engagement.

Candidates called for Document Verification travel at their own expense and are required to stay one extra day for a medical examination. SC/ST candidates are paid second-class TA by the shortest route on production of the ticket, caste/community certificate, and a submitted Bank Details Form.
