Northern Railway Recruitment 2025-Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
The candidate must have passed SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board and also possess ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT recognized by Government of India.
(Note: Candidates whose SSC/Matriculation/10th and ITI results are awaited as on the date of notification are NOT eligible.)

Age Limit (as on 24.12.2025)
- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 24 years
- Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD, and up to additional 10 years for Ex-servicemen (as per rules).
Experience: No prior experience required.
Northern Railway Recruitment 2025-Selection Process
- Screening & Scrutiny of the application (No written test or viva).
- Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared by taking average of percentage marks obtained in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI examination (equal weightage to both).
- In case of tie in marks, older candidate will be preferred; if Date of Birth is also same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier will be preferred.
- Final merit list will be prepared cluster-wise, trade-wise and community-wise equal to the number of slots.

- Complete Candidate Registration (Name, Father’s Name, Community, Category, Mobile No., Email ID & Date of Birth). Login ID & Password will be sent subsequently.
- Login to Candidate Dashboard → Fill Application Form, Pay Online Fee (₹100/-, exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates).
- Upload required documents & submit finally (Photo, Signature & Thumb impression size 10 to 50 KB in jpg format & Save Images and uploaded certificates like Educational, Caste, PwBD & Ex-SM Certificates etc.).
- On completion, take print of application & fee payment slip for record only.
