How to submit the Option-cum-Preference form
- Visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.

Rules to know before submitting
- Missing the window means no further chance. Candidates who do not submit their Option-cum-Preference between 8 and 11 September 2026 will not be considered for any post in the FRTA or the final result, and the Commission will not give another opportunity.
- No grievances will be entertained. Any complaint about a missed submission — sent by post, fax, email or by hand — will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.
- PwBD candidates must select preferences only for posts identified as suitable for their disability (see the OH / HH / VH / Other PWD columns in the vacancy table below). Allocation follows merit-cum-preference of posts. If a PwBD candidate is allotted a post not identified as suitable for their disability, the concerned User Department will cancel the candidature.
- Physical and Medical Standards. Before choosing preferences, candidates must go through the original exam Notice, Corrigendum and Addendum, and confirm they meet the Physical and Medical Standards required for the post. A candidate’s candidature can be cancelled later by the User Department if they are found not to meet the requisite standard for the post allotted to them.

About the sample option form
SSC has also released a Sample Option Form for CHTE-2025 as a reference for candidates. The Commission states plainly that this is a specimen only — options must be filled in the online module on ssc.gov.in, and no physical option form will be accepted. The sample form lists all 29 posts by number (1 to 29, matching post codes J01–J25 and S26–S29) with boxes for candidates to enter their order of preference, followed by a declaration that the options exercised are final and cannot be changed once the window closes, and that a PwBD candidate’s certificates must match the posts they choose. Candidates will be considered only for the posts they are eligible for.
